Ben Stiller's Funniest Comedies In Recent Memory

By Harold Brady

One of the kings of the modern day movie comedy is Ben Stiller. For over ten years, Stiller's face has become synonymous with hit comedies, and everything points to this trend continuing on into the next decade. Stiller is a very likable guy who clearly does not take himself too seriously, in movies at least.

But what have been Ben Stiller's best films of all time? Here are my personal favorites.

It goes without saying that Meet The Parents has to be included. I didn't care for the sequel, but the original movie is absolutely hilarious. Stiller and Robert De Niro are great as adversaries in this hilarious comedy that is appropriate for people of all ages.

Another great movie that Stiller starred in was There's Something About Mary. I remember going into this movie having no idea what to expect, and wow was I surprised. This was easily one of my favorite comedies of the 1990s.

This list would not be complete without giving praise to Tropic Thunder. In my opinion, this is an incredible movie. The plot is absolutely brilliant, and it manages to balance action and comedy very well. One of the better comedies in recent years.

Keeping The Faith is another movie that cracks my top five favorite Stiller films. When an old lady friend comes back into town, a priest and a rabbi, played by Edward Norton and Ben Stiller, respectively, have some serious conflict with each other, and their faith.

Heavyweights is the final film that makes my top five Ben Stiller movies. I have nothing but fond memories about this comical movie about a fat camp and the evil man who runs it. This is a similar role that Stiller plays in Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story.

It is clear from going through his best movies that Ben Stiller has had quite the successful career and has had some great films. - 40727
